Watch Adriana Lima Get Ready for a Night Out

“I love makeup,” Adriana Lima says with a heavy Brazilian accent. Ahead of the premiere of her new competition series, American Beauty Star, this Thursday on Lifetime, the host and executive producer is getting party-ready with just two minutes to spare.

Clad in a cozy robe, her shiny brunette lengths pulled back into a tight ponytail, she begins by squeezing primer and BB cream into her hand, holding it up to the camera before fusing them together between her palms. Once warmed, she spreads the mixture all over her visage. “I always like the glow,” she explains before taking a sip of English breakfast tea sweetened with honey. “I don’t like when [the] skin has a matte finish.” After whipping out her trusty Maybelline The Nudes Palette, she smudges tawny and chocolate brown shadows along the upper and lower lash lines before swiping on a few coats of mascara. Then, it’s sculpt time. “I’m going to use the contour [palette], but I’m not going to contour my face,” she explains, brushing the earthy pigment on like bronzer and swirling pretty pink blush on the apples of the cheeks.

“I’m obsessed with lipsticks and I always like to play,” explains Lima. And it’s no exaggeration—the Victoria’s Secret Angel test-drives bold peachy-brown, coral, and magenta shades like a pro before settling on a bright cherry red, applying it with laser precision. Letting her hair down both literally and figuratively, Lima is ready in a flash. Ah, the perks of being a supermodel.
